We became better at building systems
than asking what they are for.
AMONGKIND exists to help redefine how we gather, work and relate — building the infrastructure for a more human world.
Systems are not fixed.
We built much of modern life around speed, scale, efficiency and competition. These systems created progress, but they also shaped how we work, how we define success and even how we connect.
We inherited them as if they were fixed. They are not.
AMONGKIND begins by restoring the practice of asking better questions: who is this serving? Is it still serving us? What could we redefine together?
We believe meaningful change is built through collaboration rather than division — creating conditions in which people, places, culture and organisations strengthen one another.
Proximity is not belonging.
The way we connect also needs to be reimagined.
A full room does not automatically become a community. Even in places created to bring us together, we can remain behind our roles, exchange contacts and leave without feeling genuinely met.
AMONGKIND brings People, Place and Practice into relationship — changing not only who enters the room, but what becomes possible between them.
The skills we call soft are the infrastructure of a human future.
Judgement, curiosity, emotional intelligence, creativity, presence and the ability to collaborate across difference are often treated as secondary.
In the age of AI, they are a superpower.
They are how we make better decisions, build trust, navigate complexity and turn ideas into meaningful change. AMONGKIND creates places where these capacities are not merely discussed, but practised.

The arts saved me. Since I was four they gave me a language I couldn't find anywhere else. A depth I wouldn't have developed otherwise. A way of understanding the world — and myself inside it — that no system has managed to take away, though some have tried.
Mihaela Motica · Founder
She spent the following years inside piano, dance, drawing and every form of creative expression available to her — not as enrichment, but as survival. Later she built a career in filmmaking, strategic communications and executive education, including a decade of work inside some of the institutions she now questions.
She watched, with a filmmaker's eye, the gap between what organisations said they valued and what they actually produced. She observed what happened to creative, emotionally intelligent, depth-seeking people as systems trained them out of these capacities and called it professionalism.
AMONGKIND brings together everything Mihaela once had to keep separate: the artist, filmmaker, strategist and solo founder. It turns a personal conviction into public practice — creativity, depth and genuine connection are not luxuries. They are part of the infrastructure of a more human world.
She is also the founder of Mirad Studios Ltd, a strategic communications consultancy — working with organisations on the same gap: the distance between how people present themselves and who they actually are.
The same conviction runs through The Return to Human manifesto.
If the arts saved you too —
in any form, at any age — you already understand what this is for.
